Creative Campaigns.

Working on things I’m passionate about brings out the creative in me. Whether it’s a product launch, social media contest, or a news announcement, every single PR and marketing situation requires creative thinking. Bringing creativity to a brainstorm and then getting to act on that creativity is one of the most rewarding feelings in the world. Below are some examples of creative campaigns I helped bring to life for a previous client that were big successes on social media and drove huge engagement. Need some creative thinking in your brainstorms? Shoot me a note and let’s talk.

#BCDRWars

Created the hashtag #BCDRWars for a Star Wars-themed promotion for data protection client Arcserve, who offer business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) solutions. I came up with the idea to create a contest around the release of “Rise of Skywalker” that would appeal to Arcserve’s IT audience. The contest called for followers to Tweet where they thought backup and recovery protocols would’ve helped in the Star Wars universe. Across a two-week period, the contest drew over 60 entrants, and set record engagement for the client’s Twitter account.

National awareness days

In the social media planning I’ve done for clients, close attention is always paid for areas where we can capitalize on something that lots of people are talking about, and insert ourselves into the conversation. With Arcserve, I tracked days such as #NationalDogDay, and encouraged our client’s employees to participate. Not only are these days a chance for employees to have a little bit of fun, they help drive traffic and engagement to social channels. The company allows dogs in the office on Fridays, so I suggested we use #Barkserve, and have employees send us the pictures of their dogs in the office for a post on #NationalDogDay. This post drove record engagement on the company LinkedIn page.
